Silver-throated Tanager

Large numbers of this bird, visit the feeders around the restaurant.

Very common in wet foothills and middle elevations, from 400 to 2000 meters above the level sea, less common in adjacent lowlands. Its size is 13 centimeters and weights 21 g. Mainly yellow, whitish throat and black lines in the back. Common in middle elevation and over the humid forest, edge of the forest and areas near partially clear. It travel in couples or in little groups, feeds fig, seeds and goes through the branches looking for insects.
